Free Level 2 Mental Health Awareness Course in Scarborough. Classes run at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, part-time during the day. The course runs over 15 weeks, making it manageable alongside other commitments. You'll build a solid understanding of mental health conditions, how they affect people, and how to respond with care and confidence. This free mental health awareness course for adults covers topics relevant to a wide range of roles, from support work and teaching to community and care settings. You'll need basic IT skills to take part. You'll leave with an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolement You must have basic IT skills

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service. Teaching is delivered face to face, with group discussion and tutor-led activities. Assessment is through written assignments or workbook tasks that you complete as part of the course. There are no formal exams.

The centre will provide most materials. Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service will confirm anything else you need before you start. You will need basic IT skills to take part in the course.
