About this course

Free Level 2 Mental Health Awareness Course in Catterick Garrison. Evening mental health awareness classes run at Catterick Library & Information Centre, part-time over 15 weeks. You'll build a solid grounding in mental health awareness, covering how mental health conditions affect people and how to respond with confidence and care. The course fits around work or other commitments, with classes in the evening. You'll need basic IT skills to enrol, and you must be aged 19 or over as at 31 August in the current academic year.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolement You must have basic IT skills

What you will learn

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Catterick Library & Information Centre. Assessment is through written assignments and knowledge checks. There is no formal exam. Your tutor will guide you through the material over the 15-week course, with sessions in the evening to fit around your schedule.

The centre will provide most materials. Catterick Library & Information Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start. You will need basic IT skills to access any online elements of the course.
