Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. You'll have a short assessment before you start to see which is the right level of course for you

The course is free if you are: Unemployed or you are employed and earn less than £25,750 annual gross salary

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August of the Academic Year for which they are enrolling

What you will learn

  • You'll read and understand a range of everyday texts, including letters, forms, and notices.
  • You'll identify the main points and details in written material.
  • You'll work out the meaning of unfamiliar words using context.
  • You'll follow written instructions and information accurately.

How you will learn
