Free Level 2 Employability Skills Course in West Bromwich. Classes run full-time during the day at Nova Training West Bromwich. This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.

  • You'll develop job search techniques, including writing CVs and preparing for interviews.
  • You'll build communication skills for the workplace.
  • You'll learn how to set goals and plan your next steps in work or study.
  • You'll explore how to manage your time and organise your responsibilities.
  • You'll develop the skills needed for independent living.
  • You'll understand what employers look for and how to meet those expectations.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions during the day. Learning is delivered face to face, with activities and tasks that build your knowledge and practical skills. Assessment is through coursework and portfolio evidence gathered throughout the 13 weeks. There are no exams.
