Who this course is for

Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.

  • You'll learn how to set goals and plan your career or education steps.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Nova Training Bushbury, with a mix of group activities, discussions, and individual tasks. Assessment is through portfolio-based evidence and practical activities that reflect real workplace and life situations. There are no written exams. Your progress is assessed throughout the course rather than at a single end point.
