Level 2 Cybersecurity Course in Norwich. Evening classes run at City College Norwich, part-time over one year. The course is free if you are 16 to 18 years old on 31 August before your course starts. If you are 19 or over, fees may apply. You will study how cyber threats affect IT systems and data, covering system vulnerabilities, cybercrime, and the tools used to protect against unauthorised access and data loss. Evening cybersecurity classes mean you can fit study around work or other commitments. No formal entry requirements.
Who this course is for
This qualification will help give you the skills and knowledge to investigate the accidental and malicious security threats that exist to IT systems and data. You will learn about system vulnerabilities and the tools and techniques used to protect users from risks and potential damage, including loss of data, loss of data integrity and unauthorised access to data. The course will included an understanding on cyber crime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations. The course will run for 10 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. It will start on 23rd September, running until 9th December (excluding 28th October).

How you will learn
You will study in a classroom at City College Norwich during evening sessions. Learning is delivered through taught sessions covering cybersecurity theory and practical knowledge. Assessment is based on the Gateway Qualifications specification for this Award. The centre will confirm the exact assessment methods, which may include written tasks or knowledge checks, before you start.
