Free Level 2 Accounting Course in Selby. Classes run at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service, part-time during the day. This is an 8-week course, with sessions of around 4 hours. You'll learn to use Sage accounting software to manage business accounts. It covers the core skills employers look for in accounting and bookkeeping roles. What you will learn
You'll set up and navigate Sage accounts software for business use.
You'll process sales and purchase invoices accurately.
You'll reconcile bank statements and manage cash transactions.
You'll produce financial reports using computerised accounting tools.
You'll understand how VAT is recorded and applied in business accounts.
You'll manage customer and supplier ledgers within an accounting system.
How you will learn
You'll study through a mix of classroom-based sessions and guided practice using Sage software. Assessment is practical and computer-based, testing your ability to carry out real accounting tasks within the software. You'll be assessed on the accuracy of your work rather than written exams. The course runs over 8 weeks with daytime attendance.
