Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice,further eligibility may be linked to where you live and your individual income.
What you will learn
You'll apply double-entry bookkeeping principles to record financial transactions accurately.
You'll process sales and purchase ledgers, including invoices and credit notes.
You'll reconcile bank statements against accounting records.
You'll prepare and balance control accounts.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service, with evening classes that run for 4 hours per week. Assessment is through AAT's set assessments, which are taken online under controlled conditions. These cover the core bookkeeping units and must be passed to achieve the Certificate. Your tutor will guide you through each topic before you sit the assessments.
