Level 1 Mental Health Awareness Course. Study online, at your own pace, in your own time. The course is fully funded for unemployed Greater Manchester residents aged 19 or over and for those on a low wage. Fees may apply for others. You'll build knowledge of mental health issues, learn to recognise signs of poor mental health in yourself and others, and explore ways to support a healthy lifestyle. The course takes one day to complete. It covers mental health awareness, wellbeing, and mental health first aid.
Who this course is for
The qualification develops learners knowledge and understanding of mental health issues. It develops and recognises learners personal knowledge and skills to encourage a healthy lifestyle and to prepare them for further learning or training.
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

How you will learn
You'll study entirely online, working through course materials at your own pace. Assessment is based on your knowledge and understanding of mental health topics, completed online. There are no specific entry requirements, though you should be comfortable reading and writing at Level 1 or equivalent. An initial assessment will confirm the course is the right level for you.
