Free Entry Level ESOL Skills for Life (reading) Course in Lewisham. Classes run at Deptford Adult Learning, part-time during the day. Before you start, you'll complete an initial assessment to confirm Entry Level 3 is the right level for you. You must have an Entry Level 2 ESOL Reading qualification or equivalent, or score at working towards Entry Level 3 in your assessment. The course runs for 48 hours and covers everyday reading tasks: letters from your GP or your child's school, basic forms, health and safety notices, and transport information.
Who this course is for
This course is for individuals that have little or some English reading skills. You will learn how to read simple English to help you go about your daily life. You will learn how to read basic forms, use a dictionary, read a letter from your surgery and any letters from your child�s school. You will be able to read basic health & safety and transport information.
Entry requirements
You will need to complete an initial assessment before registration on the course. You must have achieved an Entry Level 2 ESOL Reading qualification (or equivalent), prior to the course or score at working towards Entry level 3 in your initial assessment.
What you will learn
You'll read and understand everyday letters, including those from your GP surgery and your child's school.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Deptford Adult Learning, studying part-time during the day. Learning is built around practical reading tasks drawn from everyday life. Assessment is through tasks and activities that show what you can read and understand. Your progress is tracked throughout the course.
