Free Entry Level English Skills Course in Oldham. Classes run at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre. This is a part-time daytime course, running 18 weeks at a pace that fits around other commitments. You'll build your reading, writing, and communication skills at Entry Level 1. An initial skills check helps place you at the right level before you start. This free english skills course for adults is open to Greater Manchester residents. It can be a stepping stone toward higher English qualifications and, eventually, a GCSE.
Who this course is for
Greater Manchester residents only. We offer a range of English Courses and qualifications to suit your needs and help you to gain skills to increase your employment prospects at a pace and time to suit you. You can improve your English skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification from Entry 1 up to Level 2. These can provide a stepping stone towards an English Language GCSE.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre. Learning is part-time during the day. Assessment is through tasks and activities that show what you can do with reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Your tutor will track your progress throughout the course.

The centre will provide most materials. Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
