We offer a range of English Courses and qualifications to suit your needs and help you to gain skills to increase your employment prospects at a pace and time to suit you. You can improve your English skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification from Entry 1 up to Level 2. These can provide a stepping stone towards an English Language GCSE.

What you will learn

  • You'll read and understand everyday texts, signs, and short documents.
  • You'll write simple sentences and short pieces of text clearly and accurately.
  • You'll practise speaking and listening in everyday situations.
  • You'll use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar at Entry Level 2.
  • You'll follow and give simple instructions and information.

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom at Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre. Sessions are daytime and part-time. You'll be assessed through tasks and activities that test your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Assessment is set by Pearson Edexcel and marked to the Entry Level 2 standard.
