Free Entry Level 2 Functional Skills Maths in Malton. Classes run at Malton Adult Learning and Skills Service. To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including counting, ordering, and simple calculations.
You'll add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
You'll handle money and work out basic costs.
You'll read and use simple measurements, including length, weight, and time.
You'll interpret straightforward data from tables, charts, and lists.
You'll solve simple number problems in everyday contexts.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Malton Adult Learning and Skills Service, with a tutor guiding each session. Assessment is through a written test set by City and Guilds. You'll practise maths through tasks and exercises during class. The tutor will track your progress and let you know when you're ready to sit the assessment.
