Free Entry Level 2 Functional Skills English in Scarborough. Evening classes run at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. The course runs for 18 weeks part-time and covers reading, writing, and speaking and listening at Entry Level 2. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you, and the centre will use it to plan your learning.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact
What you will learn
You'll read and understand short, straightforward texts on familiar topics.
You'll write simple sentences using basic punctuation and spelling.
You'll communicate clearly in everyday spoken conversations.
You'll listen and respond to simple spoken information.
You'll complete everyday tasks involving written English, such as forms and notes.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service during evening sessions. Assessment is through tasks set by City and Guilds, covering reading, writing, and speaking and listening. You'll complete these tasks as part of the course, and your tutor will support you throughout.
