Free AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping Course in Pickering. Classes run at Atmosphere Centre for Young People, part-time during the day. Sessions run for 4 hours, making it possible to fit study around other commitments. You'll cover the core skills used in accounts work, from recording financial transactions to understanding double-entry bookkeeping. This is a free AAT bookkeeping course for adults aged 19 or over who meet the funding eligibility criteria. Further eligibility may depend on where you live and your income.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice,further eligibility may be linked to where you live and your individual income.
What you will learn
You'll record financial transactions accurately using double-entry bookkeeping.
You'll process sales and purchase ledgers.
You'll reconcile bank statements and accounts.
You'll use control accounts to check the accuracy of records.
You'll prepare a trial balance from bookkeeping records.
You'll understand the principles behind VAT and how it applies to transactions.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at the centre. AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping is assessed through computer-based exams set and marked by AAT. These are taken at an approved assessment centre. Your learning will build toward those assessments, with class time used to develop and practise the skills tested.
