Who this course is for

The course aims to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding about learning and teaching in a diverse range of educational contexts, including Primary, Secondary and Special Education provision. As a result, the focus is on your practice, with a work-based portfolio, Professional Practice in Education, where you are supported and encouraged to be critically reflective practitioners. In addition, there are assignments and projects (such as those contained in the modules Additional Needs and Inclusion and the Core Curriculum, which aim to demonstrate and build on your knowledge and experience in this field. It is expected that as full-time students you will attend college for 16 hours per week for 30 weeks with additional time in placement and in directed study equating to 21 hours.
