Level 4 IQA Course in Middlesbrough. Classes run at Middlesbrough College, part-time during the day. Tuition fees may be remitted if you are 16 to 18 years old on 31 August before your course begins. If you are 19 or over, fees may apply depending on your circumstances. This level 4 iqa qualification covers two units. The first builds knowledge of internal quality assurance processes, useful for assessors, centre managers, and HR or quality personnel. The second is for practitioners who actively lead and manage quality assurance within a centre or organisation. The course takes one year part-time.
Who this course is for
Unit 401 , Mandatory Unit A knowledge-only Award for those who are starting their journey as an internal quality assurance practitioners or for those who need to know about internal quality assurance but who are not carrying out quality assurance themselves. This might be people such as experienced assessors or centre managers, HR or quality assurance personnel Unit 402 , Optional Unit For practitioners who conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process from within a centre or organisation, by sample planning, monitoring and advising on the practice of assessors. Unit 403 , Optional unit For practitioners who lead the internal quality assurance process within a centre/organisation and have a responsibility for managing the quality of the assessment process, practice and the performance of assessors. They may also develop systems and lead on visits from outside agencies such as awarding organisations.

How you will learn
You'll attend classroom-based sessions at Middlesbrough College one or more days per week. Assessment is through a combination of written assignments, professional discussion, and a portfolio of evidence drawn from your workplace practice. Unit 401 is assessed through knowledge-based tasks. Unit 402 requires evidence of actively carrying out internal quality assurance in a real work setting.

The centre will provide most materials. Middlesbrough College will confirm anything else you need before you start. For Unit 402, you will need access to a workplace where you can carry out internal quality assurance activity as part of your assessment.
