Level 4 HNC Construction Management Course in Poole. Classes run at Bournemouth and Poole College of Further Education one day a week, giving you a manageable pace alongside work or other commitments. This Pearson Edexcel hnc construction management qualification covers the core concepts of construction and construction management, building both technical knowledge and transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and research. You'll develop the knowledge needed for roles that carry personal responsibility on site or in a management setting. The course takes two years part-time. Entry requirements include a relevant Level 3 qualification, four GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths and English, or equivalent.

Who this course is for

The Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction Management

provides a broad introduction to Construction and different Construction

Management functions. This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing

students for specialist subjects at Level 5 or to enter employment with the

qualities necessary for job roles that require some personal responsibility.

Students will gain a wide range of construction knowledge linked to practical

skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace

scenarios. Students are involved in vocational activities that help them to

develop behaviours (the attitudes and approaches required for a competence) and

transferable skills. Transferable skills are those such as communication,

teamwork, research and analysis, which are highly valued in higher education and

in the workplace.

By the end of Level 4, students will have sound knowledge of the basic

concepts of construction. They will be competent in a range of subject-specific

skills as well as in general skills and qualities relevant to key areas of

Construction.

Teaching sessions are delivered one day a week, either virtually, or

in-person. The course can be completed independently, through company
