Free Level 2 Electrical Installation Course in Poole. Classes run full-time during the day at Bournemouth and Poole College of Further Education. The course takes one year and covers domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical work. You'll gain hands-on experience with wiring systems, cable management, and inspection and testing of electrical installations. This free electrical installation course is a strong route into the electrical trade, and it prepares you to progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship. You'll need a minimum of four GCSEs, including English and maths at Grade 3 or above, or a relevant Level 1 qualification with Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths. A colour blindness test is also required at interview.

Who this course is for

To become a fully qualified Electrician, candidates are required to complete the full Electrical Diploma. For those who do not have access to an employer or wish to gain an initial grading in the Electrical trade at the Level 2. Full-time Diploma provides an excellent introduction to the work involved and enables the successful candidate to progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

You will require a minimum of English and Maths at Grades 9-4 (formerly A* to C) and two additional GCSE's at Grades 9 - 3 (formerly A* to D). Please note you will have to undergo a colour blindness test at your interview.
