Level 3 Health and Social Care Course in Bristol. Classes run at Ashley Down Centre, full-time during the day. This is a two-year Pearson Edexcel BTEC qualification equivalent to three A Levels, and the course takes one year to complete. You'll study a wide range of health and social care topics and spend one day a week on placement in care settings, including elderly care and vulnerable adult care. Entry requires five GCSEs at Grade C or above including English Language, or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at Merit grade, plus two references.
Who this course is for
Are you are interested in a career in health and social care such as social work or nursing? Thiscourse has been designed to give you in-depth knowledge of health and social care and develop your skills to work with people in care settings. It is equivalent to 3 A Levels and will allow you to progress to jobs in the sector or university. You will study a wide range of topics and will spend one day a week in a range of settings including elderly care and vulnerable care.

You'll learn through classroom sessions at Ashley Down Centre, five days a week. One day each week is spent on placement in settings such as elderly care and vulnerable care. Assessment is through a combination of coursework assignments and externally set examinations, as is standard for the Pearson Edexcel BTEC National Diploma. Your assignments are internally marked and externally verified.
