About this course
Level 3 Health and Social Care (Adults) for England Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while working in a senior role in health and social care, putting learning into practice from day one. The course covers supporting adults with physical and emotional care, daily living needs, and health care procedures. It runs across three pathways: Generic Health and Social Care, Dementia, and Learning Disability. You'll need a reasonable level of literacy and some care experience to enrol. The course typically takes 18 months.

This qualication develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.

What you will learn
You'll develop knowledge of how to support adults with their physical care needs.
You'll learn how to support individuals with their emotional wellbeing.
You'll understand how to assist with daily living needs in a care setting.
You'll cover health care procedures relevant to working with adults.
You'll build specialist knowledge in one of three pathways: Generic Health and Social Care, Dementia, or Learning Disability.
You'll develop the skills expected of a senior role in adult health and social care.
How you will learn
Assessment is work-based. You'll be observed carrying out tasks in your workplace, and your assessor will review evidence of your practice on the job. You may also complete written assignments or professional discussions to demonstrate your knowledge. Your employer supports your learning throughout, and an assessor will visit you in your workplace to gather evidence against the qualification requirements.
