Level 3 First Aid Course in Bristol. Classes run at Ashley Down Centre, part-time over three days during the daytime. The level 3 first aid classes run across one week, making it straightforward to fit around other commitments. You'll sit a short assessment at the end.
Who this course is for
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Re-qualification course is a mandatory programme that ensures current First Aiders remain updated and competent. The programme covers the same content as the First Aid at Work course but is run over 2 days and must be completed every 3 years.
Entry requirements
Delegates must hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate or First Aid Re-Qualification certificate.
What you will learn
You'll learn how to assess an emergency scene and keep yourself and others safe.
You'll practise CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
You'll learn how to manage an unconscious casualty, including the recovery position.
You'll learn how to treat wounds, burns, and bleeding.
You'll learn how to recognise and respond to medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, and seizure.
You'll learn how to deal with fractures, sprains, and musculoskeletal injuries.
You'll learn how to record and report first aid incidents in the workplace.
How you will learn
The course is classroom based and covers two units over three days. You'll learn through instructor-led sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on practice of emergency procedures. Assessment includes a practical skills assessment and a short written or oral test. You must be able to take part in physically demanding practical exercises to complete the course.
