Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Course in Blackpool. Classes run at Bispham Campus, part-time during the day over two years. This course is for electricians with at least five years of industry experience who have not yet completed a formally recognised Level 3 qualification. You must hold a relevant Level 2 qualification to enrol. If you don't, the centre can arrange for you to complete one alongside this course. You'll prove your technical knowledge, performance, and competence against industry standards. The City and Guilds electrotechnical experienced worker qualification leads to the NVQ 2346-02, the updated standard for the industry.
Who this course is for
This City & Guilds programme is an opportunity for individuals with at least five years experience working in the electrotechnical industry in either an employed or self-employed capacity who have yet to gain a formally recognised Level 3 qualification and would like to do so. The NVQ 2346-02 (which replaces the NVQ 2356-99) gives you the opportunity to prove your technical knowledge, performance and competence and demonstrate that you can work to the required industry standards. Getting properly accredited means you are then in a position to apply for an Installation Electrician 'Gold Card' under the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS). Prior to the qualification being awarded, you must have undertaken and passed the following qualifications: 18th edition2391 - Initial Verification Qualification (Inspect & Test) AM2EIf you have not already done so, we can arrange for you to take whichever qualifications your need prior to submitting your portfolio of work for assessment. Please note that these are not included in the cost of this qualification and will need to be paid for separately as and when you want to complete them.
Entry requirements
The Experienced Worker Assessment is for electricians who have been working in the industry for at least 5 years (not including time spent in full or part-time training) but have not formally completed an industry apprenticeship or equivalent Level 3 NVQ qualification. You must hold a relevant Level 2 qualification. If this is not the case, we can arrange for you to complete this alongside your Level 3 NVQ.
