About this course

Level 3 Assessor Course in Newcastle. Classes run at Newcastle College, part-time during the day, over 15 weeks. To enrol, you'll need a minimum Level 3 qualification in the subject area you plan to assess, access to learners in your workplace, and a counter-signer and qualified Internal Quality Assurer within your organisation. You'll also need to demonstrate Level 2 literacy. The course covers how to plan, carry out, and quality-check assessments of vocational learners.

Entry requirements

All applicants must hold a minimum Level 3 subject specific qualification relevant to the area you are assessing. You must also demonstrate that you are working at Level 2 in literacy. In addition you must have access to candidates and have a proven track record of assessing. Within your organisation you should have a counter signer and a qualified IQA.

You must be actively assessing candidates in your workplace throughout the course.
