About this course

Level 2 Sport Course in Maidenhead. Classes run at Berkshire College of Agriculture, full-time during the day.

The course runs over 35 weeks. You'll study a mix of practical and theory units covering core sports topics. Practical units help you develop your own skills and learn to support others. Theory units build the knowledge that underpins work in the sports industry. The course covers areas such as coaching, fitness, and sports development.

You'll need five GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or maths at grade 4. All applicants complete an academic interview. You'll finish with an NCFE Diploma in Sport at Level 2.

Who this course is for

This qualification is ideal for learners who are interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry and will help kick start you on the right path. Across the year you will study core and optional modules in a range of sports related topics to give you a good foundation to then build on. You will study a range of practical based units where you can work on personal skills as well as developing others, and you will look also look at a range of theory units that are important in developing practical abilities. You will also have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications in first aid, which will enable you to access employment in this area. Why BCA? Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English or maths at grade 4 or Level 1 Diploma in Sport with a minimum of a Merit, with GCSE English or maths at grade 4. All applicants must successfully complete an academic interview.
