BTEC Level 3 Sports Coaching Course in Maidenhead. Classes run at Berkshire College of Agriculture, full-time during the day.

The course covers sports coaching, athlete development, and the science behind sporting performance. You'll study how to improve performance at elite level. It also explores coaching methods across different sports and disciplines. The course runs over 35 weeks. You'll need four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, to join.

You'll finish with a Pearson Edexcel BTEC National Foundation Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development.

Who this course is for

The course will develop individuals’ knowledge and skills across a range of disciplines which develop an in-depth understanding of how optimum sporting performance can be achieved. This is designed for individuals who are keen to develop their own sporting performance or those who want to pursue a career developing elite athletes.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, maths (Level 3 or above) and preferably PE and science. A Level 2 Diploma in Sport at Merit/Distinction grade (or equivalent) and GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or above will also be considered.
