Free Level 2 ESOL Skills for Life: Writing course in Northampton. Classes run at Northampton College Lower Mounts. Daytime sessions over 8 weeks make it manageable alongside other commitments. This is an ESOL Skills for Life: Writing qualification for people whose first language is not English, working at an upper intermediate to advanced level. You'll develop more complex writing structures, expand your vocabulary, and sharpen your spelling. You'll practise producing longer, more sophisticated pieces of writing using a range of advanced language. You'll sit a formal exam at the end.
Who this course is for
This is an ESOL writing course based at our Lower Mounts Campus for people who have English as their second or third language. This course will help upper intermediate/advanced level students improve their writing skills by developing more complex structures, increasing vocabulary and improving spelling. You will practise producing longer, more complex pieces of writing using a range of advanced language structures.

How you will learn
Classes are classroom based and run part-time during the day at Northampton College Lower Mounts. You'll learn through structured lessons covering writing, vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. Assessment is by formal examination at the end of the course. Before you start, you'll complete an ESOL Initial Assessment or Progression Assessment to confirm this is the right level for you.
What you will need to bring
Bring pens, paper, and a folder to organise your work to every lesson. An English monolingual or bilingual dictionary can also be useful, though it is not required.
