Who this course is for
The C&G Level 2 Certificate in Make-up will enable learners to gain the skills, knowledge and understanding required in order to apply make-up. Learners will gain the skills needed to perform make-up treatments for friends, family and self application. The course also provides the foundation to progress to a career in the industry. The C&G Level 2 Certificate in Beauty will enable learners to gain the skills, knowledge and understanding required to offer elementary beauty services.

How you will learn
You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in a salon-style classroom environment, one day a week during term time. You'll also be assessed on your theoretical knowledge covering anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. City and Guilds sets the assessment standards for this qualification.
What you will need to bring
A full uniform (tunic) and closed-toed shoes are required for every session. You'll also need a kit for practical work, which you'll be expected to use in class and at home to practise. No nail extensions, gel nails, or eyelash extensions are permitted. Jewellery is limited to one pair of stud earrings and one wedding band.
