About this course

Level 2 Awareness of Mental Health Problems Course. Study online at your own pace over 24 weeks, fitting learning around your work and home life.

You do not need previous study in mental health to enrol. The course covers a range of mental health conditions, their causes, and how they affect people's lives. You'll also explore approaches to care and support that make a real difference to people living with mental health problems. Good IT skills and reliable internet access are required.

You'll finish with an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.

Who this course is for

We have designed this course to support you with working in the care sector. Successful completion of this course will provide skills and knowledge required for job roles working in care and support. It is not necessary to have formally studied Mental Health Awareness prior to enrolling on this course, although you may have done an introductory course or have some experience of this subject.

You will need good IT skills and access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with regular and reliable internet connection. This can be at home, at work, or in a library.
