About this course

Free Level 5 Leaders and Managers Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while managing teams or projects in your current role, with a qualified trainer visiting monthly to support your progress and build your portfolio. Entry requirements are set by your employer, but typically include five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above. Apprentices who do not yet hold Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve that before the end-point assessment. The course takes around one year.

Who this course is for

The duration of this apprenticeship standard is 36 months. (Depending on experience this time could be shorter.)

An operations/departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy.

The completion of this standard will require monthly training visits from a qualified IPS Trainer to develop the apprentice's skills and progress the build of the apprentice portfolio to prepare the apprentice for End Point Assessment.

Entry requirements

The entry requirement for this Apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or higher. Apprentices without level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
