Who this course is for

The UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Creative Music Performance and Production offers an exciting opportunity for musicians, singers, producers, or composers to develop their skills in a vibrant industry modelled environment in preparation for Higher Education or employment.

The qualification is designed to provide musicians or producers with the platform to build on or refine their practical skills, developing their personal subject specialisms towards the standards expected of professional practitioners.

Trainees will develop the independent, resourceful, and ‘can do’ approach required of modern creative professionals, meeting the demanding standards of the sector.

Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.

All assignments are modelled on professional practice.

Students will be required to Pass all three units to gain the qualification:

  • Unit 1: Applied Professional Practice
  • Unit 2: Specialist Performance Technique
  • Unit 3: Specialist Performance Project

Units 1 and 2 are graded Pass only. The overall qualification is graded based on Unit 3 and is graded as Fail, Pass, Merit or Distinction.
