Who this course is for

UAL Level 2 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts (Musical Theatre) is a full-time unique one-year training programme that introduces students to musical theatre training and performance following the Miskin Theatre's unique industry training model. It is ideal if you are new to musical theatre and dance training.

The programme will encourage you to gain a broad variety of skills developing your singing, acting, dance technique, and performance skills, culminating in performances at the in-house Miskin Theatre and beyond. You will participate in singing, acting, ballet, contemporary, commercial, jazz, tap, and musical theatre classes to support your ability to perform in a range of musical theatre productions. You will also learn about the different employment opportunities in the performing arts industry.

Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.

As part of this programme you may be able to complete ISTD Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance, and Tap examinations (additional costs apply).
