About this course
Free Level 4 IQA Course. Work-based training at your workplace. This is a qualification for those leading a team of quality assurance staff, and you complete it while working in your role. To enrol, you'll need to have already completed Unit 1 (Understanding the Internal Quality of Assessment Processes and Practice) and Unit 2 (Award in the Internal Quality of Assessment Processes and Practice). The course takes 12 months. You'll develop the skills to oversee and lead IQA activity across your organisation.

Learners should have previously completed unit 1 (Understanding the internal Quality of Assessment Processes & Practice) & unit 2 (Award in the internal Quality of Assessment Processes & Practice)
What you will learn
You'll lead and manage a team of internal quality assurance staff.
You'll plan and carry out internal quality assurance of assessment practice.
You'll evaluate and improve assessment and IQA processes across your organisation.
You'll support and develop assessors through monitoring, feedback, and coaching.
You'll maintain accurate records of IQA activity to meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
You'll understand the roles and responsibilities of the lead IQA in relation to external quality assurance.
How you will learn
You learn on the job, applying your IQA responsibilities in your current role. Assessment is work-based and evidence-led. You'll build a portfolio of evidence drawn from your practice, including records of quality assurance activity, observations, and professional discussion. Assessment is mapped to the qualification's units and reviewed against the NCFE specification.
