About this course

Free Level 3 Understanding Mental Health Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around work and other commitments.

To be eligible, you need to be aged 19 or over, live in England, and meet income or prior attainment criteria. You'll study mental health across different life stages, mental health legislation, public attitudes, treatment options, and the skills needed in mental health services. The course takes around 15 weeks to complete.

You'll finish with an NCFE Certificate in Understanding Mental Health.

Who this course is for

The level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health will provide you with a greater understanding of mental health issues, the importance of mental well-being through various stages of life, mental health legislation, services and public attitudes, treatment options available and skills required to work in a mental health service.

Entry requirements

Aged 19+ as of 31st August 2024. Currently live in England and lived in the EU for 3 years. Funded Via the Adult Skills Funded Free Courses for Jobs. You must be either unemployed or in employment but earning below the low wage threshold of £25,000 or are aged 19-23 with a prior attainment below level 3 to be eligible to undertake this free online course.
