About this course

Free Level 2 Mental Health First Aid Course. Study online. You can work through the course at your own pace, fitting it around your existing commitments. Over 10 weeks, you'll learn how to recognise signs of mental ill health, support people who are struggling, and challenge the stigma that can surround mental health in the workplace. The course covers mental health advocacy as well as first aid principles, giving you practical tools to make a difference in your workplace or community.

Who this course is for

Our Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace free online course is a short way to learn about how to support those who struggle with their mental health. This course will help you learn how to raise awareness of mental health and reduce the stigma that can often surround internal issues.

Entry requirements

Aged 19+ as of 31st August 2024. Lived in the EU for 3 years. Available fully funded. Do not hold the same qualification.

  • You'll learn how to approach and support someone who is struggling with their mental health.

  • You'll understand the boundaries of a mental health first aider's role and when to refer to professional support.

How you will learn

The course is delivered fully online through CT Skills. You'll study written materials and complete assessments online. Assessment is through knowledge-based questions and written tasks that you complete at your own pace. There are no exams to sit in person.

The centre will provide most materials. CT Skills will confirm anything else you need before you start.
