About this course

Free Level 3 Sport and Physical Activity Course in Tamworth. Classes run at Tamworth College, full-time during the day. This sport and physical activity qualification combines academic study with an elite boxing pathway through the DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence) programme. The course runs for 35 weeks. Entry requirements include four GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including English or maths), a Level 2 qualification in a related subject, affiliation with an England Boxing club, and demonstrated potential for elite-level boxing performance. You'll develop knowledge of sport and physical activity alongside your competitive training.

Who this course is for

If you're passionate about sport and boxing and want to take your skills and knowledge to the next level, this course offers the ideal progression route.

Delivered by South Staffordshire College in partnership with Tamworth Boxing Club, this programme combines the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Sport and Physical Activity with the elite DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence) boxing pathway. Its designed for learners who want to continue their academic development while training and competing at a high level.

Youll study key topics such as anatomy and physiology, exercise and lifestyle, and preparing for a career in sport. These units will help you understand how the body responds to physical activity, how to support others in leading healthy lifestyles, and how to plan your own progression into employment or higher education.

Alongside your studies, youll train like a high-performance athlete with England Boxing-qualified coaches. Youll develop your boxing technique, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning, while also gaining valuable experience in leadership and coaching.

This dual approach allows you to pursue your sporting ambitions without compromising your education. Whether you aim to become a competitive boxer, coach, fitness professional, or progress to further study, this course provides a strong foundation for your future.

If youre aged 1619, affiliated with an England Boxing club, and ready to commit to both your sport and your studies, this course is for you.
