About this course

Free Level 3 NVQ Bricklaying Course. Study online through Leeds College of Building North Street Campus, with blended learning that fits around your working life. The course runs over 10 months and is designed for employed bricklayers who have already completed a Level 2 NVQ in Bricklaying and are working at Level 3 standard. You'll develop advanced practical skills and the underpinning knowledge employers expect at this level. The course is fully funded for eligible learners aged 19 to 23 years old who do not hold a full Level 3 qualification. Learners aged 24 or over may also be eligible for funding through the Adult Education Budget.

Who this course is for

This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge. Students will attend college on a part time basis to develop their knowledge with a range of blended learning, team building group activities and lectures in the classroom environment.

Entry requirements

The City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations is suitable for employed individuals who have already achieved Level 2 NVQ in Bricklaying and are able to demonstrate that they are working at a Level 3 standard and can meet the criteria mentioned below to complete the qualification.

You will be observed carrying out bricklaying tasks at Level 3 standard, and your knowledge will be assessed through the blended learning elements of the programme.
