You'll study full-time over 36 weeks, covering extensive beauty therapy techniques alongside customer service, communication, and retail skills that employers in salons and spas look for. Practical sessions take place in one of the college's four on-site salons. To enrol, you'll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including maths and English), or a full Level 2 with a merit profile and grade 4 or above in English and maths, plus a professional reference.

Who this course is for

During this one year full time course you will discover and learn extensive beauty therapy techniques that are essential to progressing into employment in spa�s and salons both locally or internationally.

The course has been designed to ensure that students leave college ready for employment, by developing and honing essential customer services skills, communication skills and retail techniques desired by employers.

The practical skills are taught in one of our four salons and practice is undertaken in a commercial salon on clients, allowing students to gain experience in a safe environment.

You'll build a portfolio of evidence throughout the course. Client-facing practice is central to the programme, so you'll work on real clients as your skills develop.
