Level 2 Vehicle Component Fitting Course in Warwick. Classes run at Warwick Trident College, full-time during the day. Tuition is free if you're 16 to 18 years old or hold an EHCP. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, though waivers are available based on income or benefits. All students may be charged for materials, equipment, and trips. This one-year vehicle component fitting qualification covers health and safety in the automotive environment, removal and fitting of mechanical, electrical, and trim components, and non-permanently fixed body panels. You'll also study engine systems, materials, tools, and measuring devices.
Who this course is for
Learners will develop their knowledge of: Health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment. Removal and fitting of basic light vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) components and non permanently fixed vehicle body panels. They also have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of: Materials, fabrication, tools, equipment and measuring devices in the automotive environment; Systems, components and operation of spark ignition engines and compression ignition engine systems; Inspection and replacement of light vehicle Exhaust components, Vehicle batteries and related components, Suspension dampers and springs,and Braking systems and components.
What you will learn

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions and practical workshop activities at Warwick Trident College. Assessment is through a combination of practical tasks and knowledge-based assessments set by IMI. You'll be assessed on your ability to carry out component removal and fitting procedures correctly, as well as your understanding of automotive systems, tools, and safe working practices.
