Free Level 2 Team Leading Course. Study online. You can work through this course at times that suit you, joining live sessions via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday to Friday mornings. Over 18 weeks, you'll build the knowledge and skills needed to lead and support a team effectively. Topics include communication, managing performance, planning and organising work, and understanding your responsibilities as a team leader. There are no entry requirements.

The Purpose of the qualification is to develop the essential knowledge for all school staff, including safeguarding to protect pupils, effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues, and understanding the school context, such as policies, curriculum, and community. This foundation ensures a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.

How you will learn
The course runs online via Microsoft Teams. You'll attend live sessions from 11:00am to 12:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Learning methods include videos, independent research, group work, case studies, question and answer activities, report writing, PowerPoint presentations, creating leaflets, and witness statements. Your tutor will give feedback on every assignment. One-to-one support is available, and daily group workshops run for extra help. You'll need a laptop or PC and internet access.
