About this course

Level 2 Performing Arts Course in Leeds. Classes run at Leeds City College Quarry Hill Campus, full-time during the day. It's free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, though a Learner Loan may be available.

The course covers jazz and urban dance styles, singing technique, and acting skills. You'll work across all three disciplines over the course of a year. Entry requires four GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent, plus a practical audition.

You'll finish with a Level 2 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts Industry Skills.

Those who love to sing, dance and act. Students who enjoy performing and want to take their skills forward. You will work on key dance styles such as jazz and urban, develop your singing voice and build new acting skills. This course is a stepping stone to the Level 3 Musical Theatre programme.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent. For all performance based courses your offer will be based on academic grades and a practical audition. The structure of the audition differs depending on your area of study. You will be given plenty of notice of the audition requirements when you book a date and will be supported throughout by our team. Musical Theatre students will take part in workshops looking at Acting, Singing and Dancing skills.
