About this course

BTEC Level 2 Music Industry Skills Course in Leeds. Classes run at Leeds City College Quarry Hill Campus, full-time during the day. If you're 16 to 18 years old, there is no fee. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, though a Learner Loan may be available. You'll develop technical skills in creating, producing and promoting music, and build an understanding of how the music industry works. The course runs over one year. You'll need four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or maths, and you'll attend an interview to show your interest in music or music production.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 3 including English or maths. You will also be required to attend an interview and audition, where you should be able to demonstrate that you have an interest in music and some skills to perform on an instrument or voice.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the year, so your work is reviewed as you progress rather than in a single end-of-year exam.
