Free Level 2 Fabrication and Welding Course in Lancaster. Classes run full-time during the day at Lancaster and Morecambe College. This free fabrication and welding course takes one year to complete. You'll cover practical engineering skills alongside careers-related learning, including employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers. If you're 16 to 18 years old, the study programme includes maths and English support and work experience where applicable. To join, you'll need four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including maths or English, or a Level 1 related qualification plus a grade D/3 or above in maths or English.
Who this course is for
This course is designed for 16-18 year old and adult learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers. For 16-18 year old will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths or English OR a Level 1 related qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in Maths or English.

You may be assessed through observation, practical tasks, and a portfolio of evidence built up over the year.
What you will need to bring
You'll need to bring steel toe cap boots and flame-resistant overalls or work trousers on your first day. Lancaster and Morecambe College will confirm anything else you need before you start.
