Free Level 1 Performing Engineering Operations Course in Lancaster. Classes run full-time at Lancaster and Morecambe College, five days a week during the day. The course runs for one year. You'll build practical skills in fabrication and welding alongside employability and careers learning. The programme includes maths and English where applicable, plus work experience. You'll need three GCSEs at grade D to G, including English or maths at grade 2 or F or above. Entry is at the course manager's discretion.
Who this course is for
This course is designed for 16-18 year old and adult learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers. For 16-18 year old will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience.
Entry requirements
3 GCSEs at grade D-G plus English or maths GCSE at grade 2/F or higher.
Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.

You'll need to bring steel toe cap boots and flame-resistant overalls on your first day. Lancaster and Morecambe College will let you know about these and anything else you need at your interview.
