About this course

Level 2 Electrical Installation Course in Loughborough. Classes run at Main Campus, full-time over one year. Fees may apply depending on your age and circumstances. 16 to 18 year old learners may be entitled to fee remission, and some 19 or over learners may also be eligible. You'll split your time between workshops and the classroom, covering health and safety, electrical installation theory, installation methods, electrical science, and the regulations set out in BS 7671. Entry requires grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language, Maths, and Science, plus at least one other GCSE at grade 4.

Who this course is for

This one-year, full time course is ideal for those wanting to take the first steps towards becoming an electrician. You will spend your time equally between the workshops and the classroom, learning both the practical side of electrical installation whilst also studying the technical content of the course. This programme of study is for one year and upon completion, you will be awarded a full Level 2 qualification in electrical installation. From here you will be eligible to find work as an electrician's assistant/mate or progress on to the Level 3 qualification.

Grade 4 or above in English Language, Maths and Science and at least one other GCSE at grade 4.
