About this course

Free Level 2 Digital Skills Course. Study online, at your own pace, over 15 weeks.

You'll need some existing digital experience before you start. This is not a course for complete beginners. The course builds on what you already know, covering core digital skills used in everyday life and at work. Topics include using devices, handling information online, communicating digitally, and staying safe online.

You'll finish with a Gateway Qualifications Award in Digital and IT Skills at Level 2.

Who this course is for

The qualification provides learners with the essential digital skills which are needed in a wide range of situations in life and at work. Learners will develop knowledge and understanding of the core areas of Digital and an introduction to the skills required in the Digital sector.

Entry requirements

Learners will be required to take an initial assessment prior to starting this course to make sure they are on the right level for them and to ensure they have the necessary underpinning knowledge and skills to undertake the course

Learners are expected to have some prior knowledge and experience of digital and IT skills, for example the Essential Digital Skills Qualification Level 1.

This course is not suitable for the complete Beginner.

You'll complete these online and submit them for marking. There are no formal written exams. Your progress is reviewed throughout the course to make sure you're on track.
