Free Level 2 Culinary Skills course in Barnsley. Classes run at Barnsley College. This full-time daytime course is designed for those new to the catering industry, giving you a practical introduction to culinary skills, customer care, and quality service. You'll study for one year, covering kitchen techniques alongside hospitality and service. Two GCSEs at grade 3 or above in English and maths, or a Level 1 Certificate in Culinary Skills or equivalent, are required to join. A City and Guilds level 2 culinary skills qualification that opens the door to kitchen and hospitality roles.

There are no formal entry requirements. There will also be an optional opportunity to ‘top-up’ your maths and English qualifications depending on levels already achieved.
