You will study the sports apprenticeship at level 2. You will also study level 3 qualification built within the apprenticeship standard to ensure you are able to progress to higher level study.
This apprenticeship is better suited to those who want to learn how to set up sporting projects, but still be able to improve their coaching skills through being able to lead regular coaching sessions.
In addition to coaching sessions, you will also learn how to liaise with other community groups, businesses, stakeholders and governing bodies when setting up a range of sporting events to encourage participation.

What you could study next
The Level 3 qualification is already built into this apprenticeship standard, so you finish with more than a level 2 community activator coach certificate. From there, you could progress to a Level 4 Sports Development Qualification or a Foundation Degree in Sport and Exercise Science. A CIMSPA membership pathway is also worth exploring if you want to advance your professional standing in sport and physical activity.
