Free Level 2 Bricklaying Course in Scarborough. Classes run at Scarborough TEC, full-time during the day. What you will learn
You'll lay bricks and blocks to construct walls, piers, and other structures.
You'll read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
You'll mix and apply mortar to the correct consistency and joint finish.
You'll set out and build curved, angled, and straight brickwork.
You'll work safely on site, following health and safety regulations.
You'll use and maintain hand tools and equipment correctly.
You'll understand materials, including brick types, blocks, and bonding patterns.
How you will learn
You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in a workshop environment alongside classroom-based theory. Assessment includes practical tasks where you demonstrate bricklaying skills to set standards, plus written or knowledge-based assessments covering trade theory. You'll build a portfolio of evidence as you progress through the course.
