About this course

Level 2 Beauty Therapy Course in Leicester. Classes run full-time at Leicester College Freemen's Park Campus, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The course takes one year and covers a broad range of practical beauty therapy skills, from facials and waxing to make-up, nail art, and lash and brow tinting. You'll also study client care, reception skills, and health and safety. Entry requires GCSEs at grade 3 or above in English and maths, or Functional Skills Level 1 in both. Some home study is expected alongside your timetabled beauty therapy classes.

How you will learn

Learning is practical and classroom-based, with hands-on treatment sessions forming the core of the course. You'll also complete home study alongside your timetabled classes. Assessment is through practical demonstrations and knowledge-based tasks. Work experience placements are available for 16 to 19 year olds. Adults will have activities tailored to their needs.
